Doctor Who!

Leah: Thanks for the prayer :) And Terra is awesome XD. Birth by Sleep is one of my favorites of the Kingdom Hearts games (I haven't gotten far enough in the story to see if it is actually my favorite, but at least it is definitely up to original Kingdom Hearts standards of awesome! -- I don't know if that sentence makes any sense, but I don't really care...)

Kelsey: 4.2 is really good! We've just recently changed weighting of our GPA, so in past years I've been getting about 4.2-4.3 -- Different schools do all kinds of crazy things that I don't understand with our grades! >.<
Lion King is one of my favorite Disney movies. Lion King, Hercules, and Mulan are probably my favorites in terms of story and music X3
And don't worry, we won't go so far as killing each other...though Courgy-chan has threatened to cannibalize me before...it was really creepy...We were in Biology after a test and she wrote in her handbook "I'm hungry for flesh!" She's really odd...and it seemed every time she was in the library with me last year, she ended up looking up something on the internet relating to cannibalism...wow...y'know, this is really creepy when I think about it....Oh well, once you get to know her well enough, these things don't even bother you...

Kat-chan: Nyuuuuuuu!!! I lost the game!!!
Ahhh...James....XP
FLUFFY!!!
(Now has a scary image of Birdman in a fluffy apron...)

Rachel: well, I haven't updated in a while, so I had to make up for the missed time! Besides, this was nothing compared to my Creation and Kingdom Hearts posts XD
I think you'll really like BBS when Abby finally lets you play :P
Dealer-chan's sister did let me sit with them, but their lunch table was very crowded and I felt like I was intruding, so I moved...
Cosplay, YES!!

So, replies to people's comments are done! (Too long to put in the comments thing)
Recently, I've been totally obsessing over Doctor Who (which is not good timing--Its never good to have two obsessions happening at the same time, with school going on in the meantime...)
Anyway, if you haven't watched Doctor Who, you are missing out. I regret all those years that I never knew the show!!
Yes, it tends to give me really odd nightmares, but when I wake up, I'm like 'That was awesome!!' I love dreaming about things like that!
What's really cool about Doctor Who is that even though the graphics and effects are not all that great, its somehow endearing. Its kinda hard to explain. I think of it kinda like Star Wars (4-6). Those animations aren't all that good, but they somehow feel more legitimate or realistic that way. I just wasn't feeling the "better" graphics in 1-3...I don't know...Its just really weird....
And, it is the most bizarre story, but awesome at the same time (or "Brilliant!" as the Doctor would say XP). David Tennant is definitely my favorite of the Doctors I've seen so far (granted, I've only seen two others...so I don't have much to compare to...) But he is just amazing as the Doctor.
And the Daleks are just so WEIRD! They're, like, scary and almost-huggable at the same time. They are just so RIDICULOUS-looking that you have to laugh. I cracked up the first time I saw one, thinking 'What the heck?! What is that supposed to be?!' Then it started flying I lost it (they just kid of hover--it is so weird looking!!) And their weapons look like a plunger and a blender?! What the heck? How can something so ridiculous be so awesome?!

"You will identify first." - C
"YOU will identify first." - D
(Wow. Really T.T)

"You will identify." - C
"Daleks do not take orders." - D
"You have identified as Daleks." - C
(Doh.)

"Daleks have no concept of elegence"
"This is obvious."
(One burn point to the Cybermen!)

"You will defeat 5 million Cybermen with 4 Dalek?" - C
"We will defeat 5 million Cybermen with 1 Dalek!" - D
(That's a point to the Daleks)

"You are superior in only one respect." - D
"What is that?" - C
"You are better at dying." - D
(Oh! Double-burn!! The Daleks so win.)

(These are my thoughts when I watched this episode. One of my favorite arcs so far. This and the weeping angels with Amy and the 11th Doctor)

These are all just my random thoughts on the series. I have been watching the episodes all out of order, so I'm sorry if there are any spoilers.

I'm not really sure which partner I like the best. They're actually all pretty cool. Rose seems like she should be annoying, but you really grow to like her. Martha's kinda cool, but not my favorite. Donna is awesome. I just love her personality. She reminds me of myself in some ways...one of my favorite scenes with her:

(I just watched this episode today. I was seriously hysterical. It was hilarious!)

Satanic Waffle House XD

Sooo...Its been WAY too long since I last updated and I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY SORRY for that!! Too much stuff has been going on (which I will get to below):

So, going in sorta random, sorta chronological order; Revelation Generation happened September 4th. It was pretty freaking awesome! I went with Kat-chan and Rachel (who I seriously need a nickname for because I call all my friends "chan" except for Rachel because I have no nickname!! Blonde-chan? I believe Kat-chan calls her Baka-chan, but she's not very baka...hmmm...anyway...)
What was I saying? Oh yeah! RevGen! I has pictures and videos of course!!

Twas a fun time :)

So, school started up on the 7th. So this week is actually my 3rd week of school (wow, hard to believe...Of course, the first week was only Tues, Wed, and Fri. We had Thursday off. This school year is good and bad.

Good:
-Senior year
-cool classes (Biotechnology -- at a nearby tech school, AP Government (I hate social studies, but the teacher is awesome!), Honors English (we're doing British literature, which I'm actually excited about!!), AP Physics (physics = cool, teacher = eh...something about her just doesn't sit right with me...maybe she's an alien...), AP Statistics (I didn't get the really awesome Stat teacher!! Grrr...I got the new one. Its her first year teaching and she switches between talking to us like we're experts in statistics to talking to us like we're in first grade! She seems nice enough, but its been boring enough that I fell asleep during our first test! I was freaking taking the test and I fell asleep!! ...This is going to be a long year)
-study hall (I have Rachel, Dealer-chan, and (on Tuesdays) Courgy-chan)
-Dealer-chan is in my Physics class, so that makes it fun
-8th period lunch -- Its nice because I go to Biotech, get back to my school in the middle of 2nd period, go to 3 classes, go to lunch, go to 2 classes, go home. My point is, if I make it to lunch, all I have to look forward to after that is physics and study hall!!

Bad:
-teachers...As I kinda already mentioned in my cool classes. The subjects are awesome. Teachers are okay. The only cool teachers are the Biotech, English and Gov't teachers.
-I don't see ANYONE in the morning!! (Because of Biotech, I have to leave at 6:50am and drive 30min every day to the tech school. In previous years, the whole BBM could meet out front of the school in the morning before school started. Now I can't do that because I don't actually get to my school until about 9:15!! It makes me really sad that most days, I don't ever see Kat-chan or Courgy-chan!!
-I have no one in my lunch period. The only people I know in there are Dealer-chan's sister, and Rachel's sister's friend! I sit at the "loser" table with all the other people who have no friends and we just sit every other seat, not next to each other, and eat in silence...usually while doing homework...=(
Actually, I talked to someone the other day. She was a freshman and I was drawing a picture of Aqua from BBS (which I will MOST DEFINITELY talk about later in this post XD) and she asked me who it was and we talked about Kingdom Hearts and anime and stuff. It was fun except I couldn't really hear her very well because its very loud in the lunch room and hard to hear what people are saying, even if they're sitting 2 feet from you...So I kept saying "What?" and "I'm sorry, I can't hear you!" and I felt really bad :(

Anyway, what was I talking about? Oh yeah, so school is OK. Not that bad, not that great. I'll get adjusted eventually...

Okay, AP classes are freaking cruel with their summer homework. I'm taking 3 AP classes this year and Biotech (which is a Duel-Enrollment course). They all had packets to do and they sucked!!! I spent pretty much the entire month of August working on those things for at least an hour a day and I was still cramming almost 2 entire packets in the last 3 days before school started! I was tired of school before I even got there!! I guess that's what being a senior is all about...

Oh! Really cool thing I learned! My school finally gave us our class ranks and GPA's.
Based off of grades from 9th-11th grade, my GPA is 4.5601 (our school has a weighted grading scale) and my class rank is 6th out of 381 students!!!! I FREAKED OUT when I heard this!!! (Well, I actually just freaked out on the inside...My mom told me and I was like, "Really? Cool." Then I went to my room and did a little victory dance/jump/squeal/thing. I pretty much spazzed out...)

Uhm...Thinking of what else I wanted to say...
Shippensburg! I visited Shippensburg University with Kat-chan. Twas fun. Rides there consisted of much talk about the Satanic Waffle House...Very long story...Ending in Lucy's brother James running a very cute interdimensional waffle house with his partner Sebastian, his best friend -- Rose the demonic fern, and his little servants resembling the accounting trolls from the Dilbert comics. There was also talk of Nuclear Hellfire Waffles and epic crossovers...Speaking of which, I did draw James and Rose, I don't know if its the same as you pictured him, and I haven't colored it yet, so I will put it in another post. Sorry!
(For now, here's a picture of Gir eating waffles X3)

This weekend was amazingly fun! On Friday, we had the joint birthday party for Kat-chan and Rachel. It was at Rachel's house and lots of people came. There was much noms and dancing and singing (of Disney songs mostly XD)
Funny story, I was at my church community day, which was on Saturday. Rachel's neighbors go to my church and Mrs. W said to me, "Hey, Kaitlyn, were you at a party last night?"
I laughed, "Yeah, did you hear us?"
"Yeah...I think it was something from the Lion King?"
"Yep. That was us."
You see, that's just how awesome we are XP
Oh, and Rachel got some awesome cosplay stuff! She has pretty much her entire Demyx cosplay set.
Speaking of which, I realized in the shower (of all places) that my mother had a lab coat that she had used for a microbiology class she was taking. So, I thought, 'Wait, I have a lab coat and a Zexion wig. Duh! I can do Ienzo!!!' And so now I have an Ienzo cosplay. And that is that.

So now, finally to my otaku-related news.

This is pretty much all consisting of Birth By Sleep talk. My brother got it for his birthday and we've been sharing it, so I'm not very far. I actually am playing as Ventus, Terra, and Aqua kinda simultaneously and I'm at Deep Space with Ventus and Aqua and Neverland with Terra. The game is AMAZING!! I love it so much! Much better of a game than 358/2 Days. I mean I liked that game, but it was not nearly up to other KH game standards. But I really love the fighting styles in this game and my Zacky is in it so that just has to make it amazing!! (I had major fangirl attacks every time I went to the Colosseum and saw Zack. He's just too CUTE!! He's so little with the same personality and trying to hit on Aqua! Its just so cute!!)
Anyway, this game is one of the reasons I haven't been updating. When I'm not doing homework, I'm playing the game (I lost the game DX).
Me and Courgy-chan had a fight over Vanitas. I had called him a while ago to my brother, but not publicly, so apparently, she had called him too. So we were arguing in the school parking lot. She followed me to my car and stood behind my car and wouldn't let me leave until I admitted Vanitas was hers. It lasted about five minutes. I had turned my car on and put it in reverse, but she still would not move. I gave in. I said she could have Vanitas if I could have Terra (whom she had called at the end of last school year). She agreed.

(Rachel, I know Abby called Terra, but like you said at your party, she's more like an honorary member of the BBM, so I am fine with calling the same people as her -- Zero and Terra for example.)
These are seriously the kinds of fights my friends and I get into. We almost run each other over for rights over fictional men ;)

I believe that's all I wanted to say in this long update post...Sorry for so many words...

PS: In case you were wondering, Ienzo is little somebody-Zexion from Birth by Sleep.

PPS: Lots of things going on with my family recently. My brother's birthday was recently. He got cool new games and the party was fun! My little sister, on the other hand, is not doing so well. She dislocated her knee at school. At first, we just told her to walk it off, because her joints get dislocated easily because she has a genetic disorder that causes your ligaments to be looser than they should be. But, it didn't get better, so they went to the doctor and it turns out that, along with having the ligament problem, her knee cap is not the right shape and so it doesn't fit right in her joint, further adding to the dislocation problem. They said that she can't do sports with lots of pivoting (so no soccer or basketball for her) and she'll have to really work up the muscles to prevent this problem from happening over and over. They said she'll probably have to have surgery on her knee at the age of 10 and she'll almost certainly have arthritis in her knee when she's older. I feel so bad because she managed to get handed down all the worst genes that run in my family and she's just got rotten luck. But otherwise, she's as happy and goofy as ever. She'll be fine...Just, can you guys keep her in your prayers?

PPPS: I've been totally obsessing over this song recently and have had it stuck in my head so much!

SuperGeek to the Rescue!!

Lols XD
So, today, I went shopping for school clothes and got lotsa cool shirts and jeans and such.
When I got home, I got a call from Kat-chan asking me if I wanted to go see a musical. I said sure, why not. After a complicating chain of calls (we really need conference call features on our phones....) Kat-chan, Courgy-chan and I went to see "13 the Musical"!! It was epically funny X3
What made it even funnier was that...(hmmm...I'll call him Jock -- he played the jock in the play, which was funny because he's a nerd with the rest of us in real life) Jock was in the play. There was an interestingly awkward scene with them in the movie theater and Jock ended up kissing the Cripple-guy (he played cripple in the play, I'm not just being mean...) and it was so hilariously awkward. I saw it coming a mile away, but I'm thinking, 'No. They can't possibly pull a SasuNaru' (y'know, in one of the first episodes they get knocked into each other...) Then, at the end of the play, they all jumped of the stage (which was epic--then it made me think of the end of High School Musical...hmmm...)
Anyway, musical was funny. Kat-chan let me borrow her fedora XD! I sat between Kat-chan and Courgy-chan, so there were much hugs from Courgy side and many remarks from Kat side. Then, after the play, Jock came out to mingle with the audience. He hugged Kat and Courgy and said he didn't know me, so Courgy introduced me as "Kaitlyn. She's the one who makes keyblades"
Jock: "Oh! I heard about you!"
Me (thinking): 'Geez, Courgy what have you been telling him??'
Then he asked me to make him a keyblade. I said no because I still need to make my brother's oathkeeper and I has no money for supplies and I has lotsa homework left to do...Then, he says, "Well, at least make me the souleater" (Riku's keyblade/sword thing) as if making that is SO MUCH simpler than making a keyblade!

Courgy-chan said that she could give me money for it and she could give it to him for his birthday. That might work, but Kat-chan or Rachel: Do either of you know his birthday, so I can decide whether its possible or not? (I don't even know if she's being serious, but if she is, I may be willing to do it if she pays enough for supplies at least -- they are surprisingly expensive!)
So, yeah...
Oh! Interesting quotes:

"Calling Sephiroth metro-sexual is like calling Neji metro-sexual!....Wait. Bad example..."

"Supergeek to the rescue!"

And Kat-chan, Rachel, Courgy-chan (if you ever read this), and Dealer-chan (if you ever read this) -- We MUST MUST MUST go to Otakon next summer and we MUST MUST MUST cosplay. I already have my:
-Reno cosplay mostly set (aviator goggles would be nice...and does anyone know of a good hair gel that actually makes spikes instead of just making my hair look greasy?)

-I have my Joshua shirt and jeans and all I need is the blonde wig (I don't overly care about the shoes...)

-I'm still working on my Cooro cosplay. I have the shirt things ready. Now, I need yellow fabric for the boots and the aviator hat-thingy (I have the patterns for both of these) and feathers, and the aviator goggles again... I think I can make do with my hair for this one. I have the right style (with a little hair gell and braiding)...not necessarily the right color, but I want to limit my wig-use on a hot summer day whenever possible...I still haven't decided if I'm doing wings or not...he doesn't always have wings...and they would be rather bothersome...Maybe around Halloween I'll check if Wal-Mart or Target have any decent black wings for costumes...T.T

~otaku-chan
PS: Rachel, if you can't tell who Jock is, I believe I called him Fanboy in an earlier post. He goes to Courgy-chan's church...if you can't tell from that....I can't do much else for you XP

PPS: Speaking of shoes (I was actually speaking about shoes when I was talking about my Joshua cosplay) I got new shoes today that I LOVE! They're kinda a converse-copycat brand, but they're still awesome. Here they are right here:
And I also ordered a pair of actual Converse (because they didn't have the kind I wanted in my size -- I needed a size 10...I got big feet...). They looked like this:
They has PURPLE!!! XD

Woah...

Just realized that in Sanctuary (Utada Hikaru's KHII Theme Song - English) The nonsense stuff that she says:

"wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I"

"snwod dna spu ynam os
My heart's a battleground
snoitome eurt deen I
wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I
snoitome eurt deen I"

Its not actually nonsense. Well, originally, I thought it was Japanese, but then I realized it wasn't and I didn't look further than that. Now, several years of knowing the song, I finally actually look up the lyrics.
She's actually saying things backwards (or the recording is made backwards)!!!!

"I need more affection than you know"

"So many ups and downs
My heart's a battle ground
I need true emotions
I need more affection than you know
I need true emotions"

I was like "Woah. Mind Blow!" (even thinking it in the Demyx Time Xigbar voice...)
Just thought I'd share X3

Mah Room

Oh my gosh! Two posts in one night!! 0.o
Kinda inspired by Kelsey Montgomery's post about her room: I've decided to post pictures of my own room because you've see some of it in pictures I took on my webcam of my hair or something, but not very good ones. I've become quite proud of my room!
The north-ish side of my room (its acutally facing more NE). I got my dresser with cosplay wigs and iHome, Naruto poster on my door, my mirror, my kitty calender X3, my Relient K poster (that I got from Creation)

The west-ish side of my room: I call it anything from my poster wall to my anime wall to my inspiration wall. Its one of my favorite walls in my room XP. Most of the "posters" are just full page pictures I cut out of Electronic Gaming Monthly magazines that my brother left behind on the bookshelf (they're those big stacks of magazines on the bottom shelf). Some are real posters - like the Ouran, Naruto, and Final Fantasy I & II ones. The rest are just what I scrounged up out of what I had, be it magazines or game manuals or calenders.
There's also my couch with my tiger and my Tigger and my desk covered in random papers and crap.
Also on this wall is my bookshelf, which I chose to take pictures of because its colorful and maybe someone cares what the contents of my bookshelf are...I dunno...T.T
Oh, and the paintings on top of the bookshelf are paintings I did in art club in middle school. I like them, so I keep them up there :)
The south-ish side of my room: I've got the tetris wall that my older brother designed for the room when he lived here, then he moved out for college and I got the cool room X3. I have my TV, my random stuff undre my TV, my "craft corner" where I keep cardboard and fabric and such that I may need for future projects, exercise stuff, golf clubs (I'm on my school golf team XP), my fuzzy purple robe. You can also see mah kitteh! His name is Cosmo, but I sometimes call him Pablo. He is my ninja kitteh!!
This is the east-ish side of my room: Its got my closet, my keyblades, my bed, my lamp, etc. It also has many pictures on the wall, all of which are hand drawn by me, Courgy-chan, Dealer-chan, my brother, and my sister.

Thanks for caring! And if you didn't care, thanks for sticking it out til the end and still reading this! XP

PS: I live in the basement. In case you were wondering why I have no windows...T.T

11 August 2010

Moogle! (I dunno...I run out of ideas for these post names...)

So what have I been up to??
-Job shadowing: last Sunday through last Wednesday I job shadowed my aunt at the hospital she works at. It was really cool! She's a cardiologist, so I got to see all kinds of things like: MRI's, echocardiographs, heart catheters, etc. It was kinda hard to understand much of what she was saying because it was all doctor-talk and...well...I've only taken one anatomy class with about 2 weeks at the end of school learning about the heart...I learned more in those 2 days shadowing than I did in the 2 weeks in anatomy class!
 (this is an MRI machine)
Some things I noticed that are kind of random: You know the stereotype about doctors being good-looking -- especially in all those doctor shows on TV? Well, at least at this hospital, that was true. Oh my gosh! I'm not usually the one seeking out good-looking guys, but this was kinda hard to miss...AND they all seemed to be freakishly tall! I'm 5'6" -- pretty average, maybe a little above -- but compared to those doctors, I looked like a dwarf!!
There were some cool things that my aunt recommended for me. On Sunday, I watched the movie "Something the Lord Made." Its about this african-american guy, Vivian Thomas, who starts off working as a doctor's assistant to Dr. Alfred Blalog. Then, the doctor realizes that this guy is actually really smart and good with his hands and they become partners and eventually invent a way to remedy "blue babies"- babies who are not getting enough oxygen because of a heart problem. It was really an awesome movie and I would recommend it.

She also gave me to read "King of Hearts" by G. Wayne Miller. Its a nonfiction book about "The True Story of the Maverick Who Pioneered Open Heart Surgery." Another cool book, written in simple enough language that I could understand it with my limited knowledge of the human heart. I think it sheds light on how much went into the discovery of open heart surgery and how many kids died horrible bloody deaths before they got it right...

Another book she gave me was "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat" by Oliver Sacks. Its a book of clinical studies of patients this doctor had with various unique neurological disorders. One woman has no "sixth-sense" called proprioception that tells her where the various parts of her body are and she says she feels "disembodied." The man from the title was horribly confused because he saw the world only as abstracts, not as a whole picture. He could only recognize something by very specific characteristics and he was unable to tell his wife from a hat. One woman has no concept of "leftness"-- she can't see things on the left side, it doesn't even register that there could be anything there. Anything on the left does not exist. It is a bizarre book.

Anyway, while job-shadowing, I stayed at my aunt's house with her family. She has a 7-year-old girl who plays with my sister usually during family get-togethers and she has a set of twins -- they are SO CUTE!!
At first, they didn't really like me being there, but they warmed up to me and on the second day, they hugged me in the morning when I left for work with my aunt :)

-So after the awesome hospital experience, my family picked me up from my aunt's house and we went straight to Knoebel's. Knoebel's is an amusement park, which is kinda far, but we go there because its free admission and its a good family-friendly park. I'm okay with it because it also has the "bigger kid" rides like the roller coasters and such. I actually just recently started to like roller-coasters. I HATED them before, but one day, I suddenly decided, "I'm going to try again and keep my eyes open this time! Face my fear!! Rawr!" So I did and its actually a lot less scary with my eyes open XP
We had fun there. We stayed at a hotel which was practically in the parking lot of Wal-Mart -- we'd gone to that Wal-Mart before and never noticed the hotel until our GPS brought us into the parking lot to find our hotel T.T It was weird. The rooms smelled like fish because they just put up new wallpaper and apparently wallpaper paste smells like fish...I dunno. But despite the oddities, it was still a fun family trip.

-After Knoebel's, we went back home for an hour or two to wash our clothes and then we packed back up and headed to my grandparent's house. We had to stay there because we are redoing our stairs and the stain or whatever we were putting on them took several days to dry. That's several days sleeping in the living room and basement with no shower...That wasn't going to work...So we went to my grandparent's house to visit and swim in their pool :) Another fun time.

After all those things, I've been home. Just chilling after a LONG week.

Some random tidbits that don't really fit anywhere else:
-The other day, I had a NYUUUUU! moment. I was sitting on my couch kinda sideways, leaned back, and spilled milk which splashed EVERYWHERE. It got all over my desk with my homework and papers, all over my bag which I still hadn't unpacked, AND all over the pictures I drew for Rachel and Kat-chan for their birthdays coming up soon! Thankfully, it was just a splash, but I didn't have any paper towels, so I got a dirty t-shirt out of the clothes pile and wiped it off the picture hoping nothing smudged. It didn't and I got everything cleaned up, but I'm worried that the pictures are going to smell of sour milk. I've been smelling them and haven't detected anything yet, so I think we're safe (Yes, I've been SMELLING my pictures. I'm a freak. I know)

-Kat-chan and Courgy-chan are back from their Europe trip. Hopefully, we will get together sometime because I haven't seen Courgy-chan since a week after school ended in JUNE!

-Rachel went to Montana before I got back from my long week, so I didn't get to say bye or anything before then, which made me sad :( But she's back now, so its all good!

-too much homework :( I tried to work on it the other day. I started with Physics - stupid me. The first question's asking me to draw a graph and write what it indicates. After not really using my brain all summer, I'm not in the mood to analyze a graph, so I moved on the Gov't to make charts to study stuff (which took way longer than it should've, so that's all I got done today DX)
I had my whole chilling-out-doing-homework nerdy kinda look going:

I got my "bling" - my many bracelets that I've gotten into wearing, my keyblade in the background, my Space and Time shirt - It says "Discover the Thrill of SPACE and TIME: Explore Any Time - All The Time" and its got a picture with a Dr. Who-looking box thing with a cowboy riding a dinosaur, skyscrapers half underwater, pyramids, a guy in a suit holding a mummy on a leash, and other weird things :) My older brother got it for me for my birthday - he's how my whole otaku-thing started, so that's no surprise XP I've got the whole two braids and glasses thing going (I guess to get me pumped to do homework or something. My mind works in mysterious ways. Anything to get some homework done)

-Dealer-chan got a facebook!!! Weee!! I was chatting with her a couple nights ago about random things...like vampire/wereflys biting me....don't ask...

In otaku-related news:
-Keyblades!! I've now finished oblivion and kairi's keyblade (for my sister). Olivia was quite difficult to make (taking me about six months on and off) but I just started Kairi's keyblade in late July and I'm already finished! It was much easier to make :)
-OneManga shutdown!!! I don't know if any of you (well, duh, Rachel and Kat-chan) read manga online on OneManga.com, but its shut down! It made me so sad DX  DX DX Apparently, publishers are cracking down on scans, so OneManga decided to take off their scans to comply with the publishers' wishes. So so sad :(

-On the other hand, so excited for BBS (just thought of song "So excited" by The Pointer Sisters - didn't know that one off the top of my head...I "asked Google" as Mrs. S would say... always making me imagine Birdman for some reason in tribal uniform bowing down before a computer and saying "Almighty Google, answer mine question!"...Anyway...) Really excited for BBS! Its about a month until it comes out!!

-The other night, I watched Phineas and Ferb doing the Caramelldansen and Ievan Polkka in their "Summer Belongs to You" special...now that was just weird...(I watched the show with my little brother and sister. Its one of the more tolerable shows they watch that I don't feel much stupider after watching...) Here's a video:

So freakish! I don't know whether to feel that its awesome or insulting to Japanese culture T3T

-Other really exciting news: Otakon announced their dates for Otakon 2011!! Yay! The Book Black Market MUST MUST MUST go next year! And we MUST cosplay!
Speaking of which, I started sewing my Cooro from +Anima cosplay. I have the shirt mostly done, just need the button on the collar. I have the red undershirt. I'm going to make the aviator cap thing he wears, probably buy the goggles, make the yellow boots, buy the red socks, buy the belt, so many things to buy, so little money to spend because I STILL haven't been accepted anywhere for a job. Stupid college kids taking the summer jobs! Grrrrr!

Anyway, I went to Goodwill and got a blazer for a Reno cosplay that i want to do. I was fooling around with it Friday, I think, and put gel in my hair put on the outfit and carried around a bamboo stick (the closest I have to Reno's weapon). Here's some pictures:

I think its alright. My hair's not quite as red as Reno's and my hair gel sucks, but I don't want to have to buy a wig, so I'll deal with it. I'm planning to get an actual button down shirt (which, believe it or not, I do not have one) that I can use for under the blazer as well as for a Joshua cosplay that I plan to do (because, his outfit is pretty easy - I would just have to buy that wig). I'm really planning for cosplay here all of a sudden! (Don't really have much else to do except homework, which is bleh T.T)
For some reason, while taking these pictures, I decided to take pictures of our eyes, so here are pictures of my sister's, my brother's, then my eyes (well, one of each of our sets of eyes...):

Lotsa pictures in this post. And sorry if its a little choppy sounding -- I worked on if for a couple days on an off and I have an intense headache right now while editing it (yes, I actually edit my posts most of the time, especially for a long one like this because I tend to make a lot of mistakes)
I believe that is actually all I wanted to say! (Of course not, I always add several PS's)

PS: I'm really not good at sewing. My Cooro shirt kept getting messed up and I had to resew and entire side. The other side, has one little bunch in it, but I'm so OCD that it bothers me so much and I just HAVE to fix it, but I can't without totally messing up the shirt! Its such a dilemma!

PPS: I watched youtube clips of the Parle Productions (the Demyx Time crew) panels at Metrocon 2010. They were hilarious! I love Dennis! And Sora's description of a "comparison" (referencing his literal "drawing" of a comparison on his IQ test) "Its like this big blob - with a window here and hamster...and its all tie-dye...it was amazing!" Roxas' constant murderous intent towards Demyx, the much singing of Lady Gaga by Charlotte, etc. All hilarious!

PPPS: Looking forward to seeing Crisis Core the musical by Tsuki no Senshi cosplay group. They're the ones that did Kingdom Hearts the Musical (which I believe I put up on a way earlier post). There are youtube videos of the show, but none are very high quality, so I'm waiting for their "official" video with subtitles and all. (I understand some German and I know the plot of the game, so it wouldn't be hard to figure out, but I'd still like to know exactly what they are saying X3)

IMPORTANT! Please, my friend Rachel is going through a hard time: her grandfather just died yesterday. Even if you don't know her or follow her, please pray for her and her family to get through their loss. Thank you all!
